a museum for everyone

At La Piscine, art can also be discovered through play. In the galleries, trunks conceal original creations, offering a visual, tactile and immersive experience. For older visitors, two interactive tablet tours, guided by Camille the mascot, invite you to explore fifteen iconic works from a playful yet informative perspective.

Toy chests

In the benches in some of the exhibition rooms, a side drawer contains one or more games – original creations devised and produced by our activity leaders, inspired by the museum’s artworks or spaces.

Whether it is the real or imagined reconstruction of a portrait, a fragmentary view of a work through a keyhole, or the piecing together of fabric scraps to recreate a costume, these hands-on activities and experiences all encourage visitors to engage with the art.

These interactive activities, which are available throughout the galleries, are free to access.
This project was made possible thanks to the support of La Piscine’s Circle of Corporate Patrons

Take the plunge with Camille!

A fun-filled adventure for 6–12-year-olds!
With two tours lasting around an hour, young visitors are invited to discover fifteen iconic works in a whole new way.
Camille, our mascot, joins them on a playful journey, encouraging them to look at the artworks from a different perspective, offering fresh insights, deepening their understanding, and sharing the broader and sometimes lesser-known stories behind the collections.

Free of charge. Borrowal is subject to the presentation of a valid form of ID. Subject to availability.

Family Sundays

A time for everyone

Every Sunday, La Piscine organises an activity based on the museum’s artworks for children aged 4 to 12. It’s an opportunity to explore our artworks through hands-on creative activities. At the same time, from 4.15 pm, there is a guided tour for adults.

Every second Sunday of the month, the museum runs this family activity, giving parents and children the chance to create their own artworks together.

Price per child: €4
Price per adult for the family workshop: museum admission only. (Only adults accompanied by children may take part.)
No bookings required; please register at the ticket office 30 minutes before the activity begins.

Our topics

> A tale of creatures with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 legs
What a commotion in our menagerie! Strange animals are born from the encounter between a bear, a seagull, a crab, a deer…

> Individual portraits on monotypes become a group portrait

My solo self-portrait becomes a collective one to capture a second impression where, there, we are all together.

> Collective creation of a large frieze based on rhythm
Lines, colours, patterns and compositions join the dance to create a large-scale, highly rhythmic piece.

> Motifs in series using screen printing
Inspired by the building, the artworks or straight from my imagination, my motifs fit within the frame to multiply more effectively through the use of colour.
